The Hunting Life

Harold Anderson's hunting camp

For Stockholm residents, as well as sportsmen from "away'" the abundant game of the Maine Woods surrounding Stockholm meant recreation, adventure, and for some, survival.  At left, members of the Anderson family take aim in front of  Harold Anderson's hunting camp.  The numerous skins testify to Anderson's skill as a hunter and trapper, while the snoeshoes and skiis testify to the depth of the snow.  Below, Andrew Anderson displays a small deer.
